Reflection is a process of exploring and examining ourselves, our perspectives, attributes, experiences, and actions/interactions. It helps us gain insight and see how to move forward. Its power lies in being able to help you develop your understanding of the way you learn, and the subjects you are studying and define your longer-term goals. It can help to promote critical thinking and problem-solving.
Teacher leadership provides opportunities for practitioners to develop new skills, bend the realm of instruction and reduce the element of isolation that often characterises school life.
ONVU Learning can help teachers capture the entire classroom learning experience, allowing them to review and share clips of best practices, helping them to gain experience, and confidence, and get support/ feedback. In order words, ONVU Learning enhances Teaching leadership.
In the short term, the teachers who have been self-reflecting have been able to identify what went well in their classroom and what could have gone better, create clips of their own lessons and share them with others to get feedback and opinions on what can they change next time.
In the long-term, having the freedom to self-reflect on their own lessons helps teachers to have the autonomy and confidence they need to analyse, identify, and improve their strengths and weaknesses and therefore reach better student outcomes.
