Introduction
The camera provides a local self test page which is accessible without authentication. This allows users to gather information related to the camera which may be useful for troubleshooting or confirming the setup.
Accessing the self test page
To access the self test page, first the camera must have a known DHCP address, this can be checked in a number of ways but the easiest is to check the ONVU Learning system for the IP or the DHCP Server for the lease.
Once you know the IP, navigate to the below URL:
Reading the self test page
The self test page is broken down into tabs containing useful information related to the camera
Cloud URL
The URL tab shows the camera's connection to the required cloud URL's. In a working setup these should all show a green 'Passed' message under the 'Result' column.
Any of these URLs showing a 'Failure' message can indicate a problem with a firewall or proxy on the network.
Network
The Network tab shows local network information including the DHCP IP, the link local IP, the default gateway, and the DNS server.
If any of these have not been received by the camera it can indicate a problem on the local network, usually the DHCP server has not passed on the correct details or has not been able to provide a lease for the camera.
System
The System tab shows the current firmware version of the camera and how long it has been up.
You may be asked by the support team to check the firmware version of the camera in this tab if there's an issue during setup.
SD Card
The SD Card tab shows the current status of the SD card used by the camera.
You may be asked by the support team to check this if there's an issue detected with the SD card during setup. Note that you cannot make any changes to the SD card from this screen.
